The Workshop is a little gem of a discovery underneath The Star in Shoreditch. With an underground hacienda feel, this venue is the perfect setting for bands cutting their teeth on the scene, or those wanting to get up close and personal with the crowd.

Little Nellie
https://hotvox.co.uk/artist/little-nellie/Since 2016, Edd, Cam, Nick, and Tobe—known collectively as Little Nellie—have been raising hell across London’s indie rock scene. With a raw blend of gritty indie melodies and pounding punk rhythms, their sound is like the real-life soundtrack to a Peaky Blinders brawl. Their 2019 debut EP, Little Nellie, set the tone: unpredictable, loud, and unapologetic. After a short break, they’re back with new music and old favorites, channeling a raucous energy that always keeps the crowd guessing. Sometimes quiet, mostly loud, but always ready to shake the walls, they’re making music for misfits, rebels, and anyone who’s ready to listen.

Herodias
https://hotvox.co.uk/artist/herodias/Herodias are an alternative rock group based in west London. They started their journey in 2021, and since then have amassed a small following in their home town.

After playing a few small gigs in their local area, Herodias stepped into a recording studio and officially became recording artists during the summer of 2023 recording their first track and releasing this on October of the same year.

Since then, the band have been working towards performing more gigs around London and have a variety of new releases planned for 2025.

Not My City

Going against the mould of the contemporary blueprint for breaking an act, their ethos and mission statement is “shows are where music lives, it’s where the magic happens, so that’s where you’ll find us”. Catch them climbing up the ranks of the live scene in 2024 with their all-original material of captivating lyrics, major moments and hooks that all come together to form an undeniable, must-see show!

John Lion
https://hotvox.co.uk/artist/john-lion-2/John Lion is a rock artist from London. His music blends the timeless vibes of the 60’s with the raw, alternative energy of the 90’s. John Lion released five singles that collectively boast over 150k streams. His tracks have not only hit the airwaves but have also been featured on blogs. Currently, John is in the studio crafting his debut EP, eagerly anticipating the next chapter in his musical journey.

Jude Todd
https://hotvox.co.uk/artist/jude-todd/Jude Todd is a Franco British indie pop artist inspired by the likes of The Strokes, Rex Orange County, BENEE, Easylife…

In 2020, he met two musicians & started spending time in the studio mixing up different genres they love (80’s, britpop, lo-fi)

Since, the 3 lads have released a bunch of songs and their 1st EP “life on the riviera” (Oct 2022). BBC Radio Introducing chose the songs “Regular Guy” & “West Coast” as their “Tracks of the Week”
