The Workshop is a little gem of a discovery underneath the Roadtrip Bar on Old Street. With an underground hacienda feel, this sweatbox venue is the perfect setting for bands cutting their teeth on the scene, or those wanting to get up close and personal with the crowd.

Emilia Tarrant

Currently working with Producers Will Hicks ( Ed Sheeran) Kingdoms ( JP Cooper) and Lewis Gardiner ( Ellie Goulding) look out for a raft of new releases in 2023.

PELA is singer/songwriter Hannah Coombes and producer/instrumentalist Olly Shelton. Together, they weave reflective lyricism through synth-laced, indie soundscapes with ethereal, ambient breaks. PELA’s EP launch show was at Komedia Studio in Brighton – and they had their festival debut at Nozstock the Hidden Valley in July where they were named Nozstock’s ‘Hot Tip’.

Viddy brings hypnotising basslines, swarve guitar, a sprinkling of electronica and tender vocals to create mellow pop songs that capture the audience, their imagination and invite them to share in all their ‘feelz’. Pulling on influences including fellow strong female vocalists; Lana Del Rey, Ellie Rowsell and Kate Bush but with the alternative swag whilst on stage of Banks and sprinkled with production references to Portishead and Massive Attack, Viddy is breaking down the barriers between female pop stars and being a traditional frontwoman of a band.

Described by Wonderland magazine as an ‘alt-pop maverick’, singersongwriter Gorran presents his unique blend of alternative, bedroom and chill pop. Having amassed over a million streams with his debut releases, and with a number of live shows under his belt at venues across the UK including the iconic Roundhouse in London, it’s clear that Gorran is on his way to breaking through as one of the UK’s next biggest artists.
