HOT VOX Presents:  Explode The TV // Sick As Thieves // James Sebastian

The Workshop is a little gem of a discovery underneath The Star in Shoreditch. With an underground hacienda feel, this venue is the perfect setting for bands cutting their teeth on the scene, or those wanting to get up close and personal with the crowd.

Explode The TV

Explode The TV are a four piece indie, rock band with infectious hooks and searing live performances. Their music balances thundering catchy bass riffs and addictive melodies with sparkling dreampop guitar sounds.

‘Shimmering guitars, grooving bass and a singer channeling his inner 80s Morrisey’.

Alex Goose-Punktuation Magazine

ETTVs influences include the classic post punk sounds of early U2, Echo and the Bunnymen, and the Cure as well as a love of britpop: Suede, the Verve, and Feeder. They have recently incorporated the dreamy and abrasive sounds of contemporary post punk revival bands including IDLES,Thus Love, High Vis, Murder Capital, and Dry Cleaning.

Sick As Thieves
https://hotvox.co.uk/artist/sick-as-thieves/Sick As Thieves is a breakout rock’n’roll band hailing from southeast London. Taking influences that span the ages, from Pink Floyd and Oasis to The Black Keys and The Doors, this four-piece is leading the rock’n’roll resurrection.

With lyrics centred on the highs and lows of life, from love and heartbreak to unbridled anti-establishment fury, Sick As Thieves showcase a thrillingly unique blend of styles that draws on classic rock, punk, reggae and blues

James Sebastian
https://hotvox.co.uk/artist/james-sebastian/James Sebastian is the face of “the new rock and roll”, bringing the energy and power of 1970s classic rock to the modern music scene. His songwriting crackles with a retro vibe whilst never sounding out of place among his contemporaries and his live shows are just as important as his songs when it comes to showing people a good time. Imagine if Harry Styles fronted Led Zeppelin.

James has headlined such prestigious venues in the UK as the Exeter Cavern, the Golden Lion in Bristol and the Stags Head in Hoxton over the course of only a year whilst also being featured in the lineups for the popular Devon-based festivals, Hijacked and Dave’s Woodstock.
